Sue is the best! I’ve been through a lot with her - in 2015 I had a periacetabular osteotomy, derotational femoral osteotomy, and hip scope on my right side, and then in 2016 I had all the same procedures on my left, and with Sue’s expertise (and occasional tough love where I needed it), I came back better than ever. A couple years later I suffered a severe ankle sprain crashing my mountain bike, and she rehabbed that one too. These days I never once think about my hips or worry that I can’t trust my body. Multi-day backpacking trips, long steep hikes with technical scrambles, fast competitive bike rides, running, climbing, HIIT classes - no issue with any of it, thanks to Sue! Next time I hurt myself (and you know there’ll be a next time), I wouldn’t even consider going to anyone else.
I’ve worked with several PTs over the years, and what really sets Sue apart is that she doesn’t just follow a written protocol for what a patient “should” be able to do at a given time. She has a brilliant analytic eye for movement patterns, and figures out what YOUR body’s deficits are and what exercises or therapies will best suit YOUR needs. She’s also focused on getting you back to the sports you love, not on some arbitrary idea of “normal” function; if your goal is to get back to running, your treatment plan will be different than if you’re a dancer. I’ve been sending all my friends to Sue for years, because she really is the best there is! ~Annie Swanberg
Sue has been an incredible help in my journey with hip and pelvis surgeries. I’ve had a complex set of issues that have baffled many, but she has patiently and expertly helped unravel the pieces and create solutions to help me get my body working again. Every time I’ve come to a session frustrated and stuck she has helped turn it all around, sending me on my way with renewed hope and new ideas to work with, completely customized to me. Not only has she been a tremendous help to me, but she has restored my faith in the value of PT as a whole. Sue is truly gifted and creative in her work. As a competitive runner, I am confident I’ll be able to return to training and racing. Thank you, Sue! ~Carey M.

When it came to physical therapy, I did not know there was a difference in the person you saw, I thought it was one size fits all. I couldn't have been more wrong! Sue was the second PT I saw after recovering from hip surgeries due to dysplasia, she was exactly what I needed. She was concerned about my goals, understood how I was feeling and always made me feel like I was succeeding. She was as determined as I was to get me back to the things that mattered to me the most, and made a care plan that helped to make my dreams possible again. She treated me like an equal, she had compassion, understanding, and knew when to push and when to pull back - even if my roadblocks were life issues and not physical ones. I am grateful that Sue was there for me during this part of my life, to get me back to activities on my terms. She didn't just give me the tools, she taught me what my body needs and how to take care of myself moving forward, she gave me my power back! I would not hesitate to recommend Sue to anyone! ~JP
I feel great, have been super active all summer and fall. I started doing drills and soccer practice with a buddy of mine nearly every afternoon this summer and aside from initial soreness in my hip I have had no issues. My back feels great and rarely hurts anymore. I even joined a men's league soccer team and have played a few games. I feel much better now than I did before surgery. Thank you so much for all of your support and guidance for over a year. I know that all of the prehab and planning we did before surgery was a major boost to the post-surgery process. The rehab couldn't have gone smoother and though I was dedicated and did the work, you were there for me every step of the way. I couldn't have had a better PT! ~Duncan Ryan
