My name is Sue Torrence, MS, PT, ATC and I am a licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Colorado, and Certified Athletic Trainer. I came to Colorado after completing my undergraduate degree in Athletic Training at Purdue University and my Master's in Physical Therapy at Washington University in St. Louis. I have over 20 years of experience treating a large variety of orthopedic and sports medicine related injuries, surgeries and overuse syndromes. During the last 10 years, I have been advancing my skills within the hip joint and adjacent areas . Treating patients after hip scopes and PAOs are areas in which I excel.

Hip SpecialtySpecializing in the hip over the last decade has excelled my treatment approaches for not only hip patients, but chronic knee, foot and back patients as well. Anatomical contributions to hip pain can include Femoralacetabular Impingement (FAI), a torn labrum, and hip dysplasia to name a few. These can also contribute to poor motor control through the hip complex, placing excess strain on other areas. Many times inhibited muscles closest to the joint, contribute to insufficient use and compensatory mechanisms around the joint. Physical therapy can address these motor dysfunctions which can accompany these pathologies.

On Your Way PT ObjectiveI am confident I can assist you with your goals. While hips have been a focus over the last decade, I have remained skilled at treating other areas in the body such as the shoulder, knee and foot/ankle region. Having a complex understanding the relationship of these joints to one another is how my knowledge and experience can benefit you.
