I am pleased to announce the partnership between the Colorado Conservatory of Dance (CCD), https://ccdance.org, and On Your Way Physical Therapy (OYWPT) in providing high level of care to students and families alike. With my background with hip injuries and issues I have seen over the years, I bring a high level of experience assessing hip injuries, and other extremities. I can help make recommendations for intervention and home programs, or if other medical care may be recommended. There are many issues which arise in the dance community which are not very well identified within the general medical community. I hope to help educate and bring a higher level of care to CCD!
While physical therapy is primarily used as a tool for recovering from injury or surgery, it can be used as an avenue for screening areas of potential concern or helping assess strength or balance, for example, and helping improve these areas specific for your performance.
Due to the nature of many of the CCD students being under the age of 18, I ask that a parent be present for PT visits. Parental consent for a minor is required for treatment, and I ask that a waiver also be signed in order to communicate with the CCD staff any concerns or variations recommended to help your student.
On Your Way PT offers specific discounts specifically for CCD students for care delivered at the CCD facility. Sorry, but family members are not included in this specific discount. Family members interested in receiving care from OYWPT may do so as a regular service provided at home within the service area in which OYWPT treats, or may elect to be seen at CCD for a nominal fee added for use of the wellness center. Please see all rates below, CCD discounted and regular rates.
As a side note, On Your Way PT is unable to see individuals for care if insurance coverage is related to Medicaid. This entity has specific guidelines for physical therapy intervention. As OYWPT has no contracts with governmental agencies to provide care, they also do not allow non-contracted practitioners to provide cash pay services for care which can be received for contracted services. This is something I take seriously and are happy to make recommendations and referrals for further care.

OYWPT Treats More than Hips:

Although I have a strong background in identifying and treating hip issues, other areas of treatment include lower leg and ankle injuries, knee issues, spine and upper extremity issues. I am happy to make further recommendations after an assessment if further medical care may be indicated and help your situation, especially if you have not already seen your physician. Colorado is a Direct Access state for physical therapy. What does this mean? You do not need to see your physician prior to going to physical therapy in the State of Colorado.
